Middleton is a locational Anglo-Saxon surname originating from dozens of different settlements in England going by one of the pre-7th century Old English variations of "middle" (such as midel) and "town" (such as tun). The earliest recorded examples of such hamlets date to 1086 and include Middeltone, Mideltuna, and Middeltune in such Derbyshire, Shropshire, Sussex, and Yorkshire. The surname "Mideltone" is recorded in Oxfordshire (1166), "Midilton" is noted in Arbroath, Scotland (1221) and "Middelton" is found in Yorkshire (1273).

Kim Possible

Kim Possible is an American animated children's television series created by Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle for Disney Channel. It centers on Kim Possible, a teenage crime-fighter who has the task of dealing with worldwide, family, and school issues every day. The show is action-oriented, but also has a light-hearted atmosphere and often lampoons the conventions and clichés of the secret-agent and action genres.

Kim Possible was the second animated Disney Channel Original Series, and the first series to be produced by Walt Disney Television Animation, in association with Disney Channel. Originally broadcast from 2002 to 2007, Kim Possible was Disney Channel's longest-running original animated series until it was surpassed by Phineas and Ferb, but still remains unique for being given one more season after the finale movie due to fan demand.

Premise

The show centers around teenage crime-fighter Kim Possible (voiced by Christy Carlson Romano) and her clumsy sidekick, Ron Stoppable (Will Friedle). Ron owns a pet naked mole-rat named Rufus (Nancy Cartwright), who proves an excellent aide to Ron and Kim in their many adventures. During the show, Kim and Ron progress through Middleton High School, starting in tenth grade in the pilot episode, "Crush", and ending with a graduation party as Seniors in the final episode, "Graduation". They also progress in relationship, starting out as best friends and becoming boyfriend and girlfriend at the end of season three. Most episodes revolve around Kim's attempt to balance her heroic life with her everyday life problems as a normal teenager, which are usually presented as a subplot.

Middleton (near Ludlow)

Middleton is a small village in south Shropshire, England. It is located 2.5 miles (4.0 km) northeast of Ludlow town centre, on the B4364 road (which runs between Ludlow and Bridgnorth), in the civil parish of Bitterley.

The settlement existed at the time of the Domesday Book (1086) when it had a mill on the Ledwyche Brook. At the time it formed part of the hundred of Culvestan, which merged into the new hundred of Munslow in the early 12th century.

For several hundred years it was known as Middleton Higford after its chief tenant Walter de Huggeford who had his main holding at Higford near Shifnal.

Middleton has a Norman chapel, much renovated in the 1850s, with a Norman motte next to it. It is a grade II* listed building.

Middleton Court nearby was built in 1864 by the Rouse-Boughton family of Downton Hall who owned most of the land around.

Brook House, built in the late 1500s, is a timber-framed moated manor house which is also Grade II* listed. Its late 18th Century privy, 17th and 18th Century outbuilding and kiln and its stables dated 1726 are all Grade II listed. Brook House Cottage (Grade II* listed) is medieval with 17th Century and 19th Century alterations.

Jackie (2012 film)

Jackie is a 2012 Dutch comedy-drama film directed by Antoinette Beumer, from an idea by Marnie Block and Karen van Holst Pellekaan. The leading roles are played by Carice van Houten, her real-life sister Jelka van Houten and Academy Award winner Holly Hunter.

Plot

Sofie (Carice van Houten) and Daan (Jelka van Houten) are twin sisters who were raised by two fathers (Paul Case and Jaap Spijkers). When they get a phone call from America that their biological mother (Holly Hunter) is in a hospital with a complicated leg fracture awaiting transfer to a rehabilitation center, the two end up in an adventure where everything they believed in is called into question. This results in an unforgettable journey to New Mexico with the strange and inappropriate Jackie where the lives of the two sisters will change forever.

Jackie (magazine)

Jackie was a weekly British magazine for girls. The magazine was published by D. C. Thomson & Co. Ltd of Dundee from 11 January 1964 until its closure on 3 July 1993—a total of 1534 issues.

The name was chosen from a list of girls' names, although it was nearly dropped due to the association with Jackie Kennedy following her husband's assassination in 1963. An urban legend exists that it was named after Jacqueline Wilson who worked there at the time, before she became a notable children's author. Although the author has attempted to perpetuate this claim, this has been denied by those who were involved in the launch.

Ex-RAF Engine Fitter Gordon Small was the first editor. TV critic Nina Myskow was a former editor.

Jackie was the best-selling teen magazine in Britain for ten years, with sales rising from an initial 350,000 to 605,947 in 1976. The best ever selling issue was the 1972 special edition to coincide with the UK tour of American singer David Cassidy. During the 1970s, "Jackie" published a mix of fashion and beauty tips, gossip, short stories and comic strips. The latter were usually illustrated with line drawings or posed photographs, especially if the story involved a "reader's true life experience". Both the comics and the short stories invariably dealt with either romance or family issues. The centre pages of the magazine usually contained a pull-out poster of a popular band or film star.

Jackie (2010 film)

Jackie is a 2010 Indian multilingual film directed by Soori and features Kannada actor Puneet Rajkumar and Bhavana Menon in the lead roles. It was released in Kannada on 14 October 2010 to a critical acclaim and was adjudged the Best Film of 2010 at the South Filmfare Awards. Dubbed Telugu version was released on 6 May 2011 while Malayalam version release date is yet to be announced.

The film is noted for its technical prowess, witty dialogs and lyrics, combined with an art that has become a trademark of Soori's rustic feel cinema. Music was composed by V. Harikrishna with Yograj Bhat as the lyricist for all the songs in Kannada. The album, which celebrated its platinum disc, is also available as a 5.1 audio DVD disc. After successful screening in Australia, United Kingdom and Germany, Jackie was released in the USA and Singapore in February 2011.

Plot

Jackie is basically inspired from Ramayana, each scene is modernised into present audience and market trends. Janakirama alias Jackie (played by Puneet Rajkumar) is an 8th standard passed living with his mother Jayamma who operates a flour mill in a village. Jackie is a guy who dreams of making it big; but not by hard work. He is an expert card player and thinks he can repay all his debts with earnings from it. He does every job and hopes he would one day make it big as a realtor. He is talkative and uses the opportunities around him to eke out a living. In the locality where he lives, a priest's daughter Yashodha (played by Harshika Poonacha), is in love with a photo studio owner who is actually a conduit for a human trafficker and asks Jackie to help her get married. Jackie initially tries to help but when the priest questions him, he decides to cop out of the issue respecting the aged father's feelings.
